A vanity license plate that had become a well-known internet joke was revoked after the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles deemed it potentially offensive.
The words “EATTHE” appeared on Virginia’s Kids First license plate, which when put together read “Eat the kids first.”
According to the plate’s owner, the DMV received several complains about the plate. The owner wrote an objection letter, and after a meeting was held, the license plate was officially revoked. Read the DMV’s full letter on the automobile blog Jalopnik.
Here at The Maine Plate, we’d like to offer some alternatives to Virginia’s “Eat the kid’s first” vanity license plate. Let us know what you think!
